BTQ was founded by a group of post-quantum cryptographers with an interest in addressing the urgent threat that a large-scale universal quantum computer poses to digital security. We're paving the way towards a more secure and efficient digital future through a range of post quantum products, from custom-built languages and compilers to cloud-accessible software solutions and dedicated hardware.
What will you do?
During your internship, you'll have the unique opportunity to:
- Contribute to real-world research projects: Immerse yourself in exciting initiatives across various PQC domains, including:
- Post-quantum cryptography signature scheme research: Explore novel designs for quantum-resistant digital signatures, the essential building blocks for secure authentication.
- Zero-knowledge proof research: Design and analyze privacy-preserving protocols that demonstrate the validity of information without revealing any sensitive details.
- Proof-of-work by quantum sampling: Investigate groundbreaking solutions for secure consensus mechanisms in blockchain technology using quantum mechanics.
- PQScale (an aggregate signature API tool): Contribute to the development and enhancement of our flagship PQC toolkit, empowering diverse applications with scalable and efficient post-quantum signatures.
- Gain diverse practical experience: Get hands-on with practical implementations of PQC algorithms and protocols, working with real-world data and utilizing cutting-edge hardware platforms.
- Be part of a vibrant community: Immerse yourself in BTQ's collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment, interacting with leading experts, researchers, and engineers.

Who should apply?
We seek enthusiastic and talented individuals with:
- A strong background in mathematics, computer science, or related fields.
- Courses/experience in cryptography, distributed systems, and/or formal verification
- Coding experience in one or more languages – Python/C/C++/Java/Go/Rust
- Experience in advanced cryptography (e.g. MPC, zero-knowledge proofs, threshold signature)
- Plus: published research papers in reputable cryptography journals and conferences
- Preferable internship period: 6 -12 months
